Follow the Foundational Path to Satisfaction
As we approach a very special weekend and reflect
on Easter, we are reminded of the very reason that
satisfaction is possible!
Last week I encouraged you to follow me as we
begin looking at new steps of this foundation to
satisfaction and Freedom.
What is this foundation? Why not skip this step and
just move on to a seemingly greater path?
I have encouraged you in the passed to consider
building your foundation on the Truth of the Word
of God! It doesn’t matter what the world will
say is satisfaction; even if it may sound good to the
ear. If God does not say it, it is not truth! We must
first and foremost abide by the Word of God which is
the Bible! Then we will find true satisfaction!
My heart breaks with the news and reality of many of
our friends right now, at this very time in their life who
have been struck down with the awful disease of cancer!
When health is good, it is easy to just coast through life,
not heeding to the fact that life on this earth is fragile
with absolutely no guarantees of it! Our days are
numbered and that is not in our hands! However,
the choices we make about our life are in our hands.
To some, these may be very familiar words, perhaps even
repetition, however, to some it may be something new,
and unfamiliar and perhaps the very first time you hear
this message of HOPE.
My desire is to walk step by step through the foundation
that is found in the Bible. This foundation that comes
from God and that He calls the true foundation.
The Bible says: For no one can lay any foundation
other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 3:11
Christmas tells us the details of Jesus being born as
a miracle,to a virgin woman, conceived by the Holy
Spirit. This is God Himself coming down in the form
of man to a world who desperately needed HOPE.
“And she will have a son, and you
are to name him Jesus: for he will save his
people from their sins. …His name shall be
called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty
God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of
Peace. (Matthew 1:21, Isaiah 9:6)
Who is this Jesus? Peter said: “You are the Messiah,
the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16
We celebrate Easter with a look at the events
of Jesus drawing close to a cruel painful death
on the cross.
Normally, it would not make sense to celebrate
a death unless of course that death changed or
marked an impacting moment in our world. And
that is exactly why we celebrate the death
of Jesus Christ.
Jesus, the Son of God, or God Himself came down to
this earth in the form of man in order to provide
a lost, and straying world the way to life. God
loved His creation of people so much that He sent
Jesus to rescue us and to take the place for our
sins and that in doing so, whoever believed in Him
would have eternal life, and that life begins right
here, right now – on earth. (John 3:16)
“I came that they might have life, and might have
it abundantly (a life that is meaningful and full).”
Because of our sin “All have sinned” (Romans 3:23)
we are separated from God. God says that the wages
of sin is death, however, His Son’s sacrifice is
the gift to us that will give us Life with Him
forever. (Romans 6:23)
Wait! Why would anyone want to follow someone
who is dead? What HOPE is there is death? The HOPE
in this death was VICTORY! The Bible says:
“Christ died for our sins…was buried… He was raised
on the third day, according to the Scriptures.
He appeared to Peter, then to the Twelve. After He
appeared to more than five hundred… and
still to many others. I Corinthians 15:3-8
He is ALIVE! He is no longer dead! He lives in
heaven at God’s right hand! However, when He
ascended back into heaven from this earth, He left
His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in those who
trust Him as their Saviour. “For as many as
received Him, He gave the power to become sons of
God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12
Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father but through me.”
We must individually and personally receive
Jesus as our Saviour and Lord. That is the
only way we can know and experience God’s
love and perfect plan for our lives.
(1 John 5:11-13)
The Bible says that it is “By grace that you
have been saved through faith and that not of
yourself, it is the gift of God; not as a result
of works so that no man should boast.”
Receiving this gift can be done anywhere and at
any time. There is no special way or place you
need to be. It is right where you are with a
sincere heart. God just wants you to confess
with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in
your heart that God raised Him from the dead
and you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10).
That is it! This is the ONLY way to God, or heaven!
It’s that easy!
In a world of such uncertainty where cancer is rampant,
and catastrophes are happening everyday with no warning
at all, isn’t it time to open your heart’s door to Jesus?
Now is the time to surrender your will to God and
allow Him to begin an abundant, fulfilling life
in you! He says: “Look I stand at the door and
knock. If you hear my voice and open the door,
I will come in…” Revelation 3:20
He wants to have a relationship with you where
He can BLESS you and give you HOPE because He
cares and loves you.
This is the first step to the True Foundation!
Unless we turn our life back to God, we will never
There is only true lasting SATISFACTION in Jesus!
Won’t you take the fist step if you have never
done so! Let God be your strength, comfort
and joy, peace and freedom with lasting satisfaction.
For those who have taken that step, let Him show you
how GREAT and Mighty He is.
Let’s continue walking up the ladder where we
will learn and experience walking in the FREEDOM
and SATISFACTION of a life filled with the
ABUNDANCE of God’s Spirit!
What does that life look like? To be continued!
But let’s start here! Who is Jesus to you?
